According to police officials, Dhoni's family received the extortion letter on Monday. The letter, allegedly sent by gangster Taslim, who claims to be a close associate of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, stated that Dhoni's family will face dire consequences if he does not pay Rs 5 million.

Mayavati's Birthday bash on public money and corpse

A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) legislator and his supporters lynched an engineer in Uttar Pradesh's Auraiya district allegedly after he refused to pay extortion for Chief Minister Mayawati's birthday celebrations, police said Wednesday. The state administration said the incident had no connection with Mayawati.

Abdul Rehman Antulay is convinced over Karkare issue

This is beyond my comprehension why Karkare didn’t go to Taj, Oberoi or Nariman House where the terrorists were holed up. Why he chose to go to a different place”.

Our ministers seem to be very gullible and change their instance when the wind is blowing the other way.He thinks Karkare's death and Malegaon is not interconnected now.He seems quite satisfied by the evidences and thinks no further enquiry need to be made in that direction

Any way , Nobody knew who Mr Antulay was untill he made such nasty remarks.So was it just for publicity.?As per other parties, he said such a thing to secure the Muslim vote bank.And Congress ,though thoroughly rejected Antulay's statement, doesn't have the guts to terminate his membership in the political party.

Would they realise that muslims are also sensible people and they know what is happening in here.They came out in open and condemned Antulays remarks.

I personally do agree the Karkare might have been the target because he was apparantly close to untie the Malegaon mystery.Which was an act of terror.And any such act must be condemned and probed and culprits should be shown no mersy on any religious or personal grounds. But that remains another issue altogether. It is no way connected to the recent Mumbai attacks. It was an unfortunate accident and it is as clear as it could.
Antulay saw the opprtunity to get another sensational issue out of it and tried to interlink the two.
some kind of marketing strategy ,i must say. Use your brains somewhere else and you could do good to the society.
