After being on fire for past few months , last week was quite uneventful for india.Apart from mumbai marathon last sunday which emphasized on "running for a cause" and Sanjay dutt's tryst with politics and the debate whether a convict on bail could get a ticket and fight election, nothing much really happened.
Yes we raved about foreign stories this week.
Obama oath taking was quite an event for us. I don't know why are we so awestuck with these Americans. It becomes a bigger event than anything of our own.
Anyway second was" Slumdog millionaire". Ever since it has been acclaimed world over and has got golden globe in four categories , we are raving and drooling about the movie. I've seen the pirated version myself .It's a wonderfully made movie. But please people , i don't think it an Indian movie at all. it's a movie aboutIndia with Indian actors.
And hadn't it been a British movie, it wouldn't have got the kind of recognition it is getting. It's entertaining , crisp, and a bollywood-masala kind of movie, with a dash of distinction.
Anyway, for me it's not an Indian movie- though i loved watching it.
Haven't we raved about Manoj night-sixth sense- Shyamalan in the past, who denied being an Indian while he was riding the success.Later he remembered the roots when he realized Indians , as usual, tried to connect with it. And in turn gave him a huge audience base.
We have the capability to make anything a hit.I mean we can outnumber any country if per head consensus is taken on any subject,provided we are duped into getting interested in the subject. After all we are HRRC (human resourse rich country)

C2cc on the other hand failed misrebaly.akshay finds it hard to accept and talks about a sequel to the movie. Akshay! you have been good ,i like your movies, but i dont watch all .
I didn't watch tashan. i 'm not watching C2cc either. He 's at his best with Priyadarshan or Katrina Kaif i think.
I think they knew the movie is going to bomb. That explains delaying it's release for so long.Usually that happens when film-makers aren't happy with the movie and take time to edit-re edit- reshoot or adding masala or reconsidering strategy to woo public.
Believe me that's a normal practice with just a few exceptions like "khosla ka ghosla" who did it because such a wonderful movie must have been sweeped by big-baddie-fries of bollywood.
Oh yeah! Amir Kasab case hasent budged an inch. We are putting diplomatic pressure on Pakistan it seems.I wonder they will keep building the pressure all their lives. Mr mukherjee goes mild and says if Pakistan can't send the convicts here , they should do a fair and transparent trial in Pakistan .
Fair trial my a**.
They are our culprits. we must punish them. and if Pakistan has problems sending them here, they must be trying to hide something.I dont understand politics , by the way.
Also, Some minister said MNS instance of threatening comedian Shakeel and packing him back was justified.
Wow, since you can't do anything to the real culprits why not torture those people who cannot hit you back. Rather they don't want to. Shakeel has always made us laugh with his crisp and weird sense of humour. I hope he comes back.
Politicians should not play with vulnerable Indian emotions and channelize our energy in negative direction to camouflage the fact they cant stick it up like a bunch of eunuchs.
We have to fight bad elements in Pakistan, not the good and friendly people from across the border, who probably love India as much.
Anyway nothng much this week for India
